Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This is an English translation of our Spanish terms of use, provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
By creating an account or using the Discalia application (the "App") you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the App.
Owner: Sergio Diaz Marcos, trading as “Sergio Diaz Dev Solutions”, Andorran tax ID (NRT) F-404071-V, Mirador d'Encamp, núm. 35, AD200 Encamp, Principality of Andorra (legal notice).
1. What Discalia is — and what it is not
Discalia is a wellbeing app that helps you keep up healthy habits while you recover from back problems: gentle exercise routines, pain tracking, hydration and educational content.
Discalia is not a medical device and it does not provide medical advice. The content of the App (exercises, articles, recommendations and reminders) is purely informational and intended to support healthy habits. It does not, under any circumstances, replace the diagnosis, advice or treatment of a doctor, physical therapist or other qualified healthcare professional.
Always consult your healthcare professional before starting an exercise program, especially if you have a diagnosed herniated disc or another condition. Stop any exercise that causes you pain, and seek medical attention if the pain gets worse, radiates, or you notice loss of strength or sensation.
2. Your account
You need an account in order to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the accuracy of the data you enter. You can delete your account at any time from within the App.
3. Premium subscription
- Some features are paid for through a subscription (monthly or annual), purchased and charged through the app store (App Store).
- If the subscription includes a free trial, it automatically becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends and the first charge is applied, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Managing the trial and cancelling on time is your responsibility; you can do it at any time from Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, from your store account settings.
- Prices, the length of the free trial and the renewal terms are shown before you confirm the purchase and may vary by country.
- Charges already made — including the first charge after a free trial that was not cancelled on time — are final and non-refundable, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Forgetting to cancel the free trial does not entitle you to a refund.
- Refund requests are handled and decided exclusively by Apple under its own terms, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Discalia does not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App lawfully and not to attempt to access other people's accounts, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer the App, except as permitted by law.
5. Intellectual property
The App, along with its design, illustrations, texts and content, belongs to Discalia or to its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the App. You may not copy, distribute or commercially exploit its content.
6. Limitation of liability
You use the App at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Discalia will not be liable for injury or damage arising from performing the exercises without the supervision or approval of a healthcare professional, nor for indirect damage arising from the use or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights the law grants you as a consumer.
7. Service availability
We work to keep the App available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, modify or discontinue features; if a change substantially affects an active subscription, we will let you know.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is substantial, we will let you know inside the App with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the App after the change takes effect means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Principality of Andorra, where the owner is established, and any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Andorra. If you live in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection granted by the consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
